Chris Nevel, Founder of The Tauren Group, spent his early life at the foot of his grandfather Sam, a commercial contractor, painter and wallpaper expert, responsible for iconic works in Las Vegas casinos and California hotels. Based in Lehi, Utah, Chris is known for his carpentry work on numerous medical buildings in Seattle, WA, and later served as COO for a luxury builder in Park City, Utah.
His construction career began in 1989 and spans over 34 years, including military service as military police in the United States Army. Upon discharge, Chris rapidly progressed his career in the construction industry, holding positions from apprentice (in several trades) to tradesman, superintendent, COO for a general contractor, and eventually becoming a general contractor himself in two states.
Chris’s experience encompasses medical commercial (Children’s Hospital), government commercial (military base construction), tenant improvement (small business storefront builds), and ultra-high-end residential projects in Park City. In the trades, he became a master carpenter by the age of 26. He has a meticulous eye for detail and quality

He is a 3rd generation tradesman and business owner. While his priorities are with family first and always. When he is not busy helping companies with their operations or as an owner’s rep for companies and homeowners to stay on building budget and schedule at The Tauren Group, you can find him at the barn with his family riding horses and taking care of their menagerie of pets.
His passions and what drives him every day are helping others, being a great leader, and being someone to count on no matter what. Integrity and accountability are at the forefront of his personality. He is a devoted husband, father, animal lover, and self-proclaimed comedian.
